(22/10/15 - 25/10/15 from 08:00 - 18:00)
WONCA is the World Organization of Family Doctors and National Colleges and Associations. WONCA has a global branch (WONCA World) and regional branches, WONCA Europe Region being the largest in member numbers and –as most of the state of the art primary care systems are located in Europe – most influential one.
WONCA Europe Region holds international regional meeting annually rotating in member countries. These meetings are usually attended by 6000-8000 international delegates, mainly from Europe, but also from other regions like North America and Canada, the Middle and Far East and Australia. The expected number of registrations for the WONCA Europe Region Conference 2015 in Istanbul is around 6000.
PCDE is the official Special Interest Group (SIG) for Diabetes within WONCA Europe Region. Therefore, PCDE is asked by the local organizers of WONCA Europe Region regional conferences to contribute to the scientific program related to diabetes.
The next WONCA Europe Region Conference taking place in October 2015 in Istanbul, Turkey will be special, because – apart from its rich scientific programme- the 20th anniversaries of WONCA Europe Region and of TAHUD (Turkish Association of Family Physicians, which is the local organizer) will be celebrated by this occasion, as well.
PCDE has five sessions within the official scientific program of WONCA Europe Region 2015, constituting the backbone of the diabetes track of the conference (which will also include the oral presentation sessions and poster talks with diabetes abstracts).
