The first Primary Care EASD symposium was held Friday 15th in the main programme of EASD and was a good reflection of current research in Diabetes and how Diabetes Prevention Programmes are actually translated into “real life”. The number of attendees were higher than expected and also the interaction with the audience during questions and answers was really challenging, opening new areas of discussion. This session had an important impact on the social media/ twitter followers of the conference as well. They showed interest in the information provided and the results presented were retweeted and spread around like an EASD2017 session.
PCDE is invited to submit a proposal for another symposium in the main programme of EASD 2018 in Berlin.
